Yes, I am up and about already, lol! I do plan on taking a nap in awhile, especially if I'm belly dancing tonight. Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth, and Keep of Kalesson were fantastic, if you like Norwegian Black Metal!! Taylor and Requiem did a wonderful job performing - I am a very proud Mama! They actually got paid for this gig - Oh, Hallelujah!!!! The regional bands actually played on the stage in the main bar, right off the main stage. Most exciting! My only gripe is that I wreak of smoke - no, I don't smoke, but I think everyone else in the building did, lmao! Dakota got himself a Dimmu Borgir sweatshirt, I got two T-shirts (one Dimmu Borgir, one Behemoth), don't know what Taylor bought for himself! Life is good, lol! Have a glorious week, one and all! Good morning, one and all! This is going to be a busy and tiring two days off for me. Guess I better take extra vitamins! We've been working up to this weekend for awhile. Requiem, the band my youngest son Taylor is in, is one of the local (read - regional, lol) bands opening for Dimmu Borgir tonight at The Rave in Milwaukee. Requiem is not exactly Black Metal, but they are in the ball park, lol. I've been looking forward to this weekend - thanks to my Warrior friend, you know who you are, I fell in love with Symphonic Black Metal almost two years ago. So Dakota, my 13 year old grandson, and I are making the 3 hour drive to Milwaukee (and back) to partake of the festivities! Should be pretty cool, lol! Considering how many bands are playing, we will probably get back in the wee hours of Monday morning. Don't expect much from me tomorrow, lmao!!! Yesterday was such a beautiful day - highs in the 60s! I do believe Spring may finally make it to Wisconsin. Think the high should be about the same today, but with some rain later on. My acupuncture practice is doing very well. I'm treating 4 to 6 clients a day - doesn't sound like much, I know. But the way I do business, that's alot of energy going out. So I am maintaining my boundaries as best I can - yes, there are such things as "medical emergencies" for acupuncture, lmao! Or so some think!!!! If it is life or death, they need to get themselves to the ER! Maintaining a certain balance is hard for me - I want to take on any client that comes through my door. When I feel I have reached a certain level of comfort with the 4 to 6 a day I do now, I may add one or two more a day. But that will be it, I'm pretty sure! I'm trying hard not to mimic Western health professionals, with their 15 minute limit with each client. Most clients just want someone to listen to them and actually care. Caring goes a long way in assisting the healing process! Balance seems to be the keyword for my day, for my life, actually! Energywise, maintaining balance is important. I'm getting better at it, but still find myself overextending fairly often. Not good! Boundary issues - again! I'm trying a new shielding technique, new to me anyway. It seems to be working well at the moment. A note regarding the Energy Alerts from Karen that I post: These alerts are her perspective on the process. I do not agree with everything she has to say, but she is pretty thorough in many ways. I post it as one perspective, not the final word on the subject, lol! What an amazing turn of events! Requiem, the band that my youngest son Taylor plays guitar with, has been asked to open for Taste of Chaos in Milwaukee. They will be opening for Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, and Bullet For My Valentine! It is Sunday, March 2, at The Rave in Milwaukee. Taylor believes it starts at 5 p.m. I am hoping they get enough tickets for Dakota and I to go along and see them!! Woot! I am so psyched!

Wanted to wish everyone a glorious Thursday! I am so behind in returning profile comments - I will get to it, it's just taking longer than usual, lol. My workdays continue to be long ones. Well, today is going to be one of those crazy weather days! So far we have had snow, freezing drizzle, freezing rain, sleet, hail - then alternating back and forth amongst it all! Bah! Humbug! Now the schools are closing at noon! Oh, joy of joys! Lucky for me, I am in the midst of changing my work schedule around. Starting today, I will be treating clients Tuesday thru Saturday, instead of the standard Monday thru Friday. I still get two days off in a row and the clients that like late appointments can be seen on Saturday! Hope all are happy with this, lol. Was it just me, or was this the craziest of weekends, energetically?! What an odd weekend! I felt as though I was being pulled and tugged in so many different directions, even mentally. Since this is technically a day off, I will take some time to meditate at length today - maybe journal again for awhile. I survived the oral surgery. Good thing I have a high pain tolerance - Sweet Mother! This hurts like hell and I can't open my mouth enough to take the pain pills yet. WTF!? All in good time, I guess. For those who sent me positive energy, thank you. I felt it rolling in like a wave - it was beautiful to experience! Thank you so very much, dear friends! Just a quick note to let you know I will be "out of the Fubar loop" for at least 24 hours, maybe a bit longer. I am having oral surgery done this morning - rather extensive oral surgery, lol. I was told I will probably have to relearn how to talk coherently, but I'm not worried. With this out of the way, I am told I will probably feel much better than I have in the recent past. Yay!!!!! Almost made this a This and That blog, lol! Dakota, my 13 year old grandson, is really getting into music these days and all the different bands. I have been totally immersed in several bands of late: Disturbed, Buckcherry, and occasional DragonForce. Right now, I'm getting a cram course in Godsmack!! I have learned all the words to Serenity and Voodoo. I think Voodoo is one of may favorites, for several reasons. One of the biggest reasons is - I can belly dance to it!! I've worked up a really nifty choreographed bellydance routine to the bloody song, now that I've heard it about 500 times, lol. Too bad my dance instructor makes us use Middle Eastern music only for solos. I have been sick the last 6 days - nasty viral thing! It's amazing how much I can sleep when I don't feel well - that's probably a good thing. I am slowly starting to feel more like myself again. Because of this, I am staying in again tonite! It's been years since I've been out on New Year's Eve - I even got an invite from my niece and her friends to join them. But I just don't dare. Staying healthy is far more important to me these days! There is just too much change coming ahead of me to go into it feeling like garbage!! So, to all my Fubar friends/family/fans, I wish you a glorious New Year, filled with love and joy and all manner of wonderful things! We all deserve it, lol.
