Ok a New year and new goals. It wasn't long ago, or maybe it was. When I had DDP (Diamond Dallas page) on the show. He talked about this great revolutionary thing called YRG (Yoga for Regular Guys) and he was talking how this low impact thing was being used by people like Kurt Angle, NFL Football guys, Lee Marshall and many others. I thought yeah but most of them guys are already Athletes. What about someone like me?
He sent me the stuff but I was already on a diet and thought I am doing fairly well on my own, so I put it away. I lost a total of 80 pounds on my diet. Well as all diets go, I got stressed and put on about 30. so December 31st 2007 I put my Diet back in action and lost 15 at this point. Then I got an email from DDP about something amazing on his site. Being the curious fellow that I am I went to investigate. Then it hit me as my jaw hit the floor that this YRG has something to it. Here we have a guy who is 5'8 and 297 pounds and handicapped. He has 2 crutches to walk and 2 knee braces and a back brace. I thought to myself ok this guy is in a lot worse shape than me. This guys isn't even a regular guy. (No Disrespect to Arthur). I watched as he went from February 2007 to November 2007 on this. He went from not being able to do any of this to, well, you gotta see the video. The end is astounding.
I called up DDP and confessed that I hadn't don't eh YRG thing and apologized and asked for his guidance as well as to see if I could Interview Arthur. He came through and got me Arthur's info and I spoke with Arthur. This guys is such an inspiration.
Today I did the YRG thing for the first time. Ok its not as easy as it looks, but not as hard as I thought. I am pledging to myself that I will be doing this and giving it an honest effort. Let's just say if I am half as successful as Arthur I will be enthrawed.
