5 Inch Heels...

Hello friends, well as most of you know i had some pretty major surgery 6 weeks ago on my right ankle/leg. Yesterday was my 6 week check-up and they removed my cast and did some xrays and take me back into the nice little room to wait on the doc. As im waiting a younger doc in training comes in to scope out my ankle, in my mind im thinking great now im like a test subject BUT i dont mind cause the doctor to be is HAWT plus he is totally rubbing my foot which felt amazing! He is fingering my toes haha asking me if i felt this and that and me being me i said of course and suggested he not stop cause it felt great. Now either he was really bored with nothing else to do or he decided to take my advice and continued to rub my foot and caress my calf...nice! Now to be honest i started to feel a little uncomfortable so to lighten up the moment i started to moan and we laughed and at that time the real doctor came in to give me the run down. He looked a little puzzled at all the laughter but the hawt trainee stood up, shook my hand and left..aaawww. So my doctor proceeds to tell me that everything looked great and asked me a few questions and then to my complete delight informs me that i can now go in a walking cast..YAY!! Now folks this is not my 1st rodeo having surgeries and casts BUT ive never had a walking cast before, seen them many times but never had one myself. The last surgery i had that doctor put me in a walking boot which was big and bulky but at least i was able to take it on and off when i slept. So they put me in the cast room and ask which color id like (i had hot pink before) so i asked for light blue cause i promised my oldest id get blue as that is her favorite color. They were out..boo..so i decided on neon orange cause well i just love the color itself. So im sitting and waiting in this room forever, apparently they only have one chic that does casts and they informed me that Wed. was their most hectic day of the week..great. My appt was at 3, the office itself closes at 4 and here it is already going on 5 and there is one more patient ahead of me waiting to get a cast. So im sitting waiting thinking this cant be good cause the chic is gonna be in a huge hurry and im gonna come out with a hideous orange block of a cast on my leg. Then i start thinking about my last visit when they took out my stitches and staples and what a horrible visit that was, not only was it so totally painful but i personally think the chic was trying to make it hurt and was in a rush for her "lunch date'..she told me so HAH!. I wasnt a nice patient and felt bad afterwards but i was in so much pain and i didnt feel like the chic was doing anything to help me through it. Well to my dismay here walks in the same chic of course in a hurry carrying her stuff and bucket of water, things falling out along the way. She is out of breath and trying to find things she needed and yelling at the other nurses to grab this and that. Im thinking to myself great..now im really going to get it, not only is she once again in a huge hurry trying to get out of there but im the patient who gave her so much hell. So she starts putting this cast on and here comes the sheriff walking into the room and looking completely serious says ma'am i have a warrant for your arrest to the chic OMG! My eyes bug out of my head and i said..you aint taking her anywhere until she finishes my cast and they both start laughing. Apparently this is her husband lol and he was coming to get her cause they had to pick up their son and take him to karate class. Well we are talking and laughing and me being the person i am apologized to her for being such a pain last time which felt incredible to get off my chest as i did feel really bad about it. She says she understood and everything was fine and i was tame compared to many patients they have had. So i must have made her feel completely comfortable and him cause she proceeds to ask her husband the sheriff to help wrap my cast. So this might not be strange to anyone else but i felt really weird sitting there with the sheriff of springfeild holding my leg on one side and his wife wrapping on the other. So with a walking cast they build a make shift heel into the cast for you to walk and since my surgery made it where i have no flextion going up and down, she had to build a bottom like thing as well. So her and the sheriff finish up and she tells me it has to dry about 2-3 hrs before i can walk on it. I look at my cast and its oddly shaped for one and my god feels like it weighs a ton. Not only is it extremely bulky but cause of the heel and bottom she made adds about 3 inches or more to my height. Im looking at this thing and have no idea how this is suppose to be walking friendly. Then the other nurse comes in and asks me what my shoe size is...um what..i tell her a 7 and she leaves and comes back with what is called a cast boot. It basically just goes over your cast and velcroes over the top and this ugly ass thing is about 2-3 inches thick itself. So she puts it on and my god people..im going to be sportin some 5+ inch heels LOL Anyway i apologize for this being so long but moral of the story im finally able to walk although im still using my crutches cause its gonna take me some time to get used to walking with this thing on, i definitely wont win any fashion award but im upright and on both feet :). Thanks 4 Reading
