In these few days of perilous woe
I've seen things I have not told
The beautiful face of a girl so lost
Who longs to free herself at any cost
The eyes of a man who longs to be
The one to love her and set her free
The hearts of the Innocents lain so bare
Swiftly wrought without regard or care

Whose only hope has yet to be revealed

Sometimes I wish that I were blind
The man with gentle eyes steps forth
Battling constantly with his self-worth
He struggles with hating the one he loves
His intent in reality, pure as a dove
The man with a soul so precious and kind
Stands and walks the test of time
He longs to run and never look back
There is something or someone that keeps him from that
He is drawn to a place he has never known
Fear grips his heart as he lets go
He will learn to love, healed of his pain
Overcome the things mundane
Like a knight, he shall arise
Draw his sword, strength in his eyes
Hold it high for all to see
Revealed at last his destiny
