LOL...
I pulled these off of
Monster.com's Networking Boards....:
1. The time we moved the cubicle ...
Many years ago, back before every cubicle had network connectivity, a co-worker seemed to enter the office on auto-pilot. Coffee cup in one hand, NY Times in the other, the routine never varied.
He never said hello at this point - just sat down and drank his coffee. We joked to each other - is he conscious? He was dressed and HAD made it in. One week, it got to us. After some careful observation, we concluded that his body took the necessary number of steps to his cube by force of habit. We decided to test our theory.
Coming in earlier than usual, we moved everything from his desk to an adjoining, empty cube - one past his actual cube. And we waited.
He came in as usual, went to his cube and sat down. We sat very quietly, industriously working. After about one minute he stood up and said "OK, this is funny - but where is my cube?"
This man had a very good disposition and like I said - no technology to move.
