So I recently applied for another job as a police community support officer.
This basically means a policeman without the power of arrest and mainly entails a daily walked beat that provides a visual deterrent more than anything else.
As far as I understand, if all goes well in that position you can advance into being a proper police officer, and then so on.
Getting to the point, I figured this whole process would take a while, considering the applicant closing date was only a week or so ago.
But I've already been invited for an initial training/interview type session next Monday
So hopefully that goes well and the rest of the process goes that quickly.
