Chained
I am walking on this so called road of life
with chains on my hands
chains on my feet
the gaurds hold me neer them
as they walk me to the stone wall
i hear people scream
people shout out at me
but i am now being chained
to this huge stone wall
they tie me up to the wall by my hands
chain me to the wall by my feet
and leave me there by the stone wall
to burn in the fire and heat...
as the fire begins
i begin to pray
god please bring in some rain
and put this fire out
set me free of these chains
and let me be free
i sit there
and cry these tears
as the people walk away
just as i start to fade
i felt the rain....
the rain was pouring down on me
putting out the fire
healing my pain
healing my wounds
and this ake in my heart
the chains break
and i fall to the ground
as i regain my strength
to remove the chains
and walk away...
my family may not want me
but that doesnt mean
i have to live in sadness
and give up hope....
the rain
has put out the fire
broken my chains
and i am walking again
free from the pain my family has caused
in time the wounds will heal
and i will know
what real love is one day....
