Lust Reaper's blog: "Notes To Self"

In the hustle and bustle of things, it's hard to stay in or keep a perspective. In as much as it is possible we all try to keep a sense of direction, usually hindered or helped by the circumstances that define our daily lives. The hectic pace of the past couple of weeks and the next couple of weeks to come has unbalanced me, when I am already inconsistent and random as is. The urge to write and to create is constant but I see I have to set like a day each week, to force me to disengage myself from the daily grind or avalanche of distractions that envelop me and actually think and reflect on things. A creative outlet or exercise has value in and of itself after all, as a release and product of the self. As a reflection of ourselves and where we are, mentally, emotionally or physically. It is often hard to put fingers on the keyboard. I do not want to write an e-diary or fu-transcript. Not out of some misguided delusion of grandeur or pretentious intellectually elitist pomp. Rather because, simply, I don't find it interesting, either to myself or whichever unfortunate soul stumbles across what I write. Which on one hand makes writing challenging and on the other demanding. If you are reading this, most probably you are either a) wondering when I will get to the point if there is one or b) cursing the fact that for whatever reason you are stuck reading this. Whatever the case may be, the point is simple: I should write at least once a week, and I should find the time to first of all reflect on things to have something to write about and then find the time to write it. that is all.
