February 17 - Daily Feast
Listen for wisdom and instruction. If you do not, it will pass by the way a deer moves soundlessly over the woodland path. Listen for the inner voice that will never be the source of anything wrong. Listen to how you use your own words. Words are seeds that plant a living garden or they are seeds that sprout weeds that are invasive. Stop being down on yourself. No human being is perfect - least of all those who believe they are. Give yourself credit for what you have done right, and, even though that may seem like a miracle, you can do it again.

Elder's Meditation of the Day - February 17
"Silence and self-control permeate the entirety of our lives."
--Larry P. Aitken, CHIPPEWA
The Creator gave us all the Red Road and on this Red Road we are required to think and act in a spiritual way. To make sure I conduct myself according to the Red Road, I must make sure I develop my self discipline. Self control works best when we pray for the courage and power t do the will of the Great Spirit. We are here on the earth to do the will of the Great Spirit. Sometimes, we must battle ourselves to do this.
Great Spirit, help me to have my self-control guided by spiritual ways.

THINK on THESE THINGS
By Joyce Sequichie Hifler
Life equips us in many ways for very special purposes. Some never catch the high vision as to why they may be the objects of ridicule or the witness of cruelty - while others bear the brunt of many heartaches and still are capable of knowing compassion for those who cause it.
Jesus was such a man - He withstood more than we are able to comprehend, but He asked that His tormentors be forgiven for they knew not what they were doing.
It is our individual decision whether we choose to be one of the throng of agitators who see only to confirm what everyone else is doing, or we can catch the vision of greater things and walk firmly in paths we believe are right.
To fall into the roll of just another face in the crowd is an ill-chosen path, but to lead others to follow is the essence of parasitism - the need to have others be just as nameless and even more dependent.

GRANDFATHER'S PRAYER FOR TODAY.
My Prayer to you today my Creator is that you help us all seek Peace and Justice in all our endeavours.
Nothing will work without Peace,
Peace only comes through work,
Work for peace and nothing becomes everything,
Never think that thoughts of peace are soft.
Thoughts of peace show an inner strength.
May thoughts of peace be your guiding light.
Peace comes from a sense of Justice for all.
All require peace but many are unable to know it.
Knowing comes from being at peace.
Peace is gentle, it is kind,
It is not just a state of mind.
Peace is not just an idle whim.
To be at peace one must go within,
To find the gentle waters that ebb and flow,
To find the warmth of your inner glow.
Thoughts of peace journey far,
They are felt beyond the farthest star.
They are felt by the grandfathers’
Who sit in circle in their sacred robes.
Around the ancient campfires is their abode!
They join with you and dance the dance,
And pray that we all
“Give Peace a Chance”

Jesus Christ said; "LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, DO GOOD TO
THOSE WHO HATE YOU, BLESS THOSE WHO CURSE
YOU, PRAY FOR THOSE WHO MISTREAT YOU."
( Luke 6:27-28 *NIV )
Dear Member's,
As you know it is written: LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS
YOURSELF. ( MATTHEW 19:19 & LEVITICUS 19:18.) So
today I would like to share with you a message that was
sent to me by one of our Member's. May it minister to
you as it has to me. It is titled.....
The Dart Test...
A young lady named Sally, relates an experience she had in
a seminary class, given by her teacher, Dr Smith. She says
that Dr Smith was known for his elaborate object lessons.
Now one particular day, Sally walked into the seminary and
knew they were in for a fun day.
On the wall was a big target and on a nearby table were many
darts. Dr. Smith told the students to draw a picture of some-
one that they disliked, or someone who had made them angry,
and he would allow them to throw darts at the person's picture.
Sally's friend drew a picture of who had stolen her boyfriend.
Another friend drew a picture of his little brother. Sally drew a
picture of a former friend, putting a great deal of detail into her
drawing, even drawing pimples on the face. Sally was very
pleased with the overall effect she had achieved.
The class lined up and began throwing darts. Some of the
students threw their darts with such force that their targets were
ripping apart. Sally looked forward to her turn, and was filled
with disappointment when Dr. Smith, because of time limits,
asked the students to return to their seats. As Sally sat thinking
about how angry she was because she didn't have a chance to
throw any darts at her target. Dr. Smith began removing the
target from the wall.
Underneath the target was a picture of Jesus. Needless to
say a hush fell over the room as each student viewed the mangled
picture of Jesus; holes and jagged marks covered His face and
His eyes were pierced.
It was then that Dr. Smith said only these words... "I TELL YOU
THE TRUTH, WHATEVER YOU DID FOR ONE OF THE
LEAST OF THESE BROTHERS OF MINE, YOU DID TO ME."
( MATTHEW 25:40. ) No other words were necessary; as tears
filled eyes of the students, as they focused only on the mangled
picture of Jesus Christ.
