When we first moved down here we had the local cablevision. That was $100.00 a month but it included cable, phone and internet. My husband is a huge mets fan and wanted to be able to watch the games down here so he got directtv. It came to $49.99 a month which is not bad. So we got the box and a few days later Mike asked me to call and get the high definition box so I called and they placed the order for the box. Someone was supposed to come 2 days later and put the box in but never did. No one ever showed up. This was back in March. There is also a $200 setup fee for the box. So I called back the next day and told them no one ever showed up to put the box in. They told me they had computer problems and the order was lost in the system. Ok thats fine so we placed another order. The guy was supposed to come a few days later. Never did!! So I called again. This went on about 4 or 5 times and each time there was a computer problem and the order never went througn blah blah blah. So we never recieved the box. But we were still getting charged the $200 fee for the box. I called and told them I wasn't paying for something I never got. So they said ok they would send someone out to put the box in once again. No on ever showed up again. This was in May. Keep in mind each bill from March I'm still getting charged the $200 fee for the box. I refuse to pay it because I do not have the box. So in May they shut the service off because we didn't pay the full bill. So I called back again and explained what was going on. I was on the phone arguing with the lady for at least 2 hours. She kept telling me I had to pay the bill in full which was a little over $200 bucks. I told her I'm not paying it because I do not have the box and I'm not paying for it if I don't have it. Of course she says ' I understand mam but you need to pay the bill before we can turn your service back on' I told her once again I'll pay whatever I owe for the month minus the $200 for the box. She said I couldn't do that. I called her an idiot and asked to speak to the manager. She told me he was busy helping another customer so I told her I'll hold for as long as I need to. I was on hold for 5 minutes and then the manager came on the phone and I explained the situation to her. She looked up our account and said there were so many mistakes on the account that she was going to take off all the charges for the box, cancel the hd service which was an extra $69.99 a month and I also told her to cancel the directtv magazine they keep sending me for 2.99 a month. She said no problem took off all the charges and turned the service back on. I said thank you and she apologized and that was that. So we thought!! Last month the same thing happened and our service was turned off. I called yet again and they were saying I owed $200 for the hd box and $69.99 for the hd service. I freaked out and told them I spoke to a manager and she took all these charges off. Well she did take the charges off for that month only I found out. So I talked to another supervisor and they did the same thing again and the service was turned back on and the charges were dropped. But today I get another bill that has the $69.99 charge on it for the hd service and the 2.99 charge for the magazine that I'm still getting that I cancelled back in May. So today our bill is now $386.30 and it will be shut off the 5th of this month if not paid in full by then. I give up with these fucking people!!! So now we have dishnetwork. Hopefully these people are not as stupid..We will see!! Should I send back the directTV dish back to them in the dishnetwork box? You think it will piss them off lol.
