I went to see my mom today.
It's her 83rd birthday.
She has been in a nursing home for several years now.
She doesn't know who I am anymore.
They now have her under hospice care.
Which means the end is near.
She looked terrible.
She had no idea who me or my daughter was.
She thought we were the staff just there to bother her.
That was tough.
As bad as this sounds, I just wish the end would come sooner than later.
So she doesn't have to suffer in her private hell anymore.
I wish she would just let go.
