Being a Soldiers Wife isnt always easy, but ask one of us if we'd give it up & you will hear a resounding "HELL NO!"

A Few Thing You Should Know About REAL ARMY WIVES!!!
1. we know the difference between BDU's & ACU's and what both acronyms stand for
2. when are men come home late from work, we dont complain. we are just happy to sleep next to them tonight.
3. we would NEVER dream of calling our husbands work/boss and complaining
4. we know that endless hours and shitty pay is just the way things are in the military and we deal with it
5. No matter who you are, come a few days before the first and the fifteenth you are broke as HELL!
6. Unlike what the public would like to think we are well aware that our husbands paychecks do NOT go up in value when we have a child.
7. we dont plan when we make or serve dinner around the time our husbands will be home because we know that each day the time is different
8. while other women complain that there signifigant others are out of town for the weekend on business, we are quite used to be home alone while our men our out in the field or training for days, weeks, months...
9. we know how to iron, fold, and prepare every article of clothing every issued to our husbands
10. while many women would yell at their husbands for leaving their shoes on the living room floor, we are thanking God to see his boots anywhere they damn well seem fit to land!
11. we know that unless you are crazy or in dyer need, you dont go to the commissary on payday
12. we memorize our husbands social security numbers before our own
13. yes, when are men are deployed we are scared to death every second their away that they could die or be injured. Do we want to repeatedly be asked if we do? NO! dont be an idiot. its a given people, we do love them. they're our husbands for godsake!
14. Yes, we're damn proud, and not afraid to show it!
15. no our husbands dont get to come home after 7 months of deployment, and yes, we know Marines do. & yes, we envy them. But NO, we do not hate them for it. Stop bringing it up and reminding us how much time WE have left before OUR husbands get home.
16. There is a war going on in Afghanistan too people! & yes, people are getting killed and wounded there everyday! STOP TELLING US WE ARE LUCKY AND THAT HUSBANDS ARE SAFE THERE!
17. No, are husbands dont get to call us everyday when they are deployed, and yes the conversations are short. We understand your concern but please, stop asking "if he's called" every five minutes. We dont need anymore reminders that he hasn't.
18. You're damn straight my man looks drop dead sexy in his uniform, but trust me if you say it we will have no trouble putting right back into your place (which for some of us may be knocking you on your ass)
19. Yes, its hard having children while he's away. But we do, and we love it. It's the life we chose. Another question you shouldn't ask...just a given people!
20. JUST FYI: no matter how many times you ask us "when" he's coming home we're going to say the same thing. we dont have an exact date people, the Army just doesn't work that way.
21. One of the more popular "mottos" of an Army Wife is "Hurry Up & Wait" & believe me...... that IS how it works.
