I've been the strong one all my life
As the elder sybling it's been my stryfe
I was strong for my mom
Durring her hard times
Strong for my brother and sister
Through countless trials in life
I've been strong for my friends
My family, and those I care most about
But now I find the path the toughest
and I must muster all the strength I can
They say if you know love
That you know pain

Well, I have know love in many forms
Passionate, romantic, platonic and unrequited
But in all these I have been strong
But now I know what I must do
Now I find if my strength will prove true
I gave all I had, and for a time she was glad
Now comes the time to set her free
Even knowing what it means to me

I have been strong for you, My Dear
But please forgive me
I can't hold back the tears
I know what we had was wonder and joy
I'll always love you, your daughter and boy
But for now, I can't be strong
I can't hold back the flood
But I ask that you not pick on me
I've been stronger than most will ever be
Forgive my weakness
Forgive my tears
But know that you will be in my heart
