Good morning/good afternoon, everyone! Kind of cool, cloudy, and very windy here. I think the high is supposed to be 70, but I'm not sure it will make it!
The time just seems to be flying by! Only a month left of school, not even that, for the guys. We all seem to be rushing toward something, or maybe we are being rapidly pushed and shoved, lmao! I am trying to learn my "lessons" as quickly as possible - and trying to remember those lessons! I'm also trying hard not to imagine or stretch toward whatever is waiting for us up ahead! Today is enough to deal with, I think!
I had a wonderful time last night. Andrea, a friend of mine and fellow energyworker, had invited me to hear her soon to be husband's band. He is the vocalist for the group - notice I did not say singer! I believe this was Thrash metal - lots of strain put on vocal cords, lol. And I love it! I think I have the capacity to enjoy just about every kind of music, although Metal and all the subgenres of same is my absolute favorite! I am officially the Band Grandma, Band Acupuncturist, and a Groupie, lmao!! Yeah, I can headbang! They protected me from the moshers, though. This was held in a rather small local bar called Break Away. Not quite enough room for an official mosh pit - it got a little rough, from time to time!
Originally, my niece Sarah and her friend Kayla were going to meet me at Break Away. Both were too tired from two days of the annual Tomah Citywide Garage Sale, lol! Small Midwest towns love to have citywide garage sales. Ah well, maybe next time!
