Because I've seen this twice in two places in two weeks (well, two profiles on this site here) - Calvary is Golgotha, in the "New Testament".
Cavalry are armor or horse-using troops (in the Armed Forces.) Or as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calvary says,
Not to be confused with cavalry (horse or armored troops).
