Love Lost, Lesson Learned
Another love lost
But another lesson learned
The girl of my dreams gone
Up and just left with a piece of my heart
I hurt with a different pain this time
A pain with understanding
With acceptance for the better
I always told her I loved her and meant it
She says I failed to show it
I also said I'd do anything just to see her smile
It took losing her to see it
I gave her that piece of my heart
So loving her, I let her go
To keep her would just be selfish
This is some different kind of pain
Only I guess because I still love her
But it won't hurt forever
This time the pain wont last
Knowing she's happy, makes me happy
That is love right?
