She was my best friend. The one I could talk to about anything and everything. She always understood me even when I made no sense at all. She always know how to make me laugh when I was having a bad day. She always knew how to make me feel better when I didn't feel good. She was always there when you needed a shoulder to cry on or a rock to stand on to be strong. She always told you how it was, she never sugar-coated anything. She would out-right tell you if a decision was right or wrong or smart or stupid, whether you liked her answer or not she didn't care, she was just honest. She was always there when you needed a friend, and she was always there when it was time to be the mom. She always knew the right things to say and the right ways and times to say it. She was always phone call, short drive, or short walk away. She was always there when you needed her the most.
I could go on for days about all the things that Mama was. But now mama is gone, but will always be in my heart, my mind, and my thoughts.
She fought a long, hard fight with cancer and unfortunately she lost that fight. But she will NEVER be gone from me.
