one of my biggest fears ever is the dentist... due to being truamitized by one as a child. So when I became very aware I had to go back I found every reason to delay it. Then the predictible happened and I cracked a tooth right off leaving a gaping hole in my face terrific !!!! It drove me mentally nuts enough to drive me to try find one to work on me right away... I knew I had to get that done and the back of my front tooth where a small filling fell out.

I walked into the dental office by my store one I had gone to before for emergency work when I was crawling on the floor with the pain of an impacted tooth . They said the dentist could look at me right away. As I walked in I saw they did Botox and thought well cripes that freaking odd. She tipped me back in chair looked for all of 3 min and promptly informed me I was in big big trouble. I needed gum surgery on the broken tooth with a delay time of 6 weeks for the wound to recover and major work to build it to be able to place in a permanant fake. Cost of this minimum 3000.00. Stunned I asked about other tooth and she gave pretty much the same verdict without the gum surgery at least 2000.00. She insisted neither could be saved other than at this cost and hours and hours in the chair.

Totally horrified at cost and amount of work I told them no I did not want to book the next appointment and walked out. I immediatley went to a past dental office I had gone to ...the second I walked in I felt the difference. The dentist had changed but the receptionist knowing my terror soothed me and said he was fantastic.He took an xray ...then came in and said here is what we can do. The root on broken tooth is fine we can put a post in it and build it  up for you it can last up to 5 years ....wow ok this sounds good how much ... 300.00. I asked about other tooth ...oh no problem we will just quickly fill that when we work on other tooth. How long will this take 1 hr ...total cost 500.00!!!!

As I was walking out I read their mission statement in the office of not doing work that is not needed just because it makes more money and what to look for in offices to avoid ...one of those flags ? Dentists that offer BOTOX ding ding ding!! I go in tomorrow

just wanted to share ... and remind you all not to just take someones word because they are the proffesional and getting a second look whether its your teeth or car or whatever can be well worth it.
