Current mood: annoyed
Nominees for worst person in the world are as follows:
At the bronze level, Fox News and Chris Wallace. For trying to ambush former President Bill Clinton, then acting all smug when Clinton turned the tables on them and they succeeded in getting a rise out of him.
At the silver level, the United States Senate. For reaching a deal where the President of the United States can interpret the Geneva Conventions as he sees fit. This is a dangerous precedent set by our government that shows the rest of the world that if we can ignore the Geneva Convention, so can they.
Finally at the gold level, The Bush Administration. As if convincing Congress that torture is not such a bad idea was bad enough. The recent resurgence of the Taliban in Afghanistan just goes to show that we are fighting the wrong war in Iraq. There are not enough forces in Afghanistan and the Taliban know this. So much so, that they are gathering in ever larger numbers, in broad daylight, and are even paying their troops more than the Afghan troops get paid. Something must be done soon or this war will be lost.
The Bush Administration, Worst Persons in the World!
