Woo's blog: "Steph's Musings...."

So once in a while, when I'm bored I like to read the personal ads on craigslist. Was just reading one that said "I honestly don't care how old you are, what race you are, how much money you make, how much baggage you have, as long as you're intelligent, honest, faithful and not overweight." Seriously, is being overweight that freaking bad that someone would rather you have all kinds of baby daddy/momma drama or other shit going on in your life? How freaking horrible. Who cares if you're a secure, stable overweight person with a good personality because I'd rather be with someone who's been on Maury 80 times to find their child's father. I just get so pissed that we live in a society where someones value is discounted just because they carry some extra poundage! I can understand if someone isn't attracted to it ok. Because its not everyone's thing. But geez...to rather have someone w/ a shitload of baggage than overweight just slays me. Maybe i'm reading into it too much, but it bothers me that this day and age weight is looked at so horribly. I'm sick of it being okay to prejudge bigger people. I've met quite a few men who would never have considered dating a bigger gal until they realized "wow, you mean overweight people can be funny and smart too?" People never seize to amaze me.
