   "My Heart"


I gave my heart
to a snow white dove
and said to it
seek out my love

My hearts desire
the one for me
fly about the earth
and over the seas

Time went by
seasons came and went
and impatiently I waited
with my heart near rent

Then one fine spring day
that lovely bird
flew back to me
and this is what I heard

I found her, I did
far across the waves
the most beautiful girl
and your heart she did save

I spoke of beginnings
and things to come
and that wonderful bird
told me all of her love

I met my true heart
my only desire
that fabulous girl
the fuel for my fire

And to her I gave
my undying soul
for her to have
and she to hold

Now all is well
and everythings fine
and for her I will always
hold onto these lines

My sweetest, my love
I will always be thine
for ever and always
until the end of time

I love you, I love you, with all my heart
my soul, my being, and all that I have
and for you I would do anything at all
for just a kiss, and your love as a salve
