looking out across the ocean , her tears up , wondering when she would finally get to go home again and see her family, see her brothers , her sisters , and her father ..her mama , would she see her dad again before he died . or would she end up going home for his funeral ... time would tell , would her ex ever let her go ... and let thier child grow up and know what it was to know her family too ? Would he have mercy .. or would they end up fighting things out in court or waiting til lthe cihld was old enough to choose for herself .. sometimes she felt that only her heart kept her here in the states because she could of stayed home but then she would of never had a chance to raise her child again until she was much older . She longed for another child with another man before she got too old .. Love seemed like such a fickle thing sometimes , she tried too hard , and failed .. or they she couldn't figure it out .. but mostly her heart had too many scars from falling .. falling and slammimg into the ground without a pillow to fall on .. her kindess to some seemed weak but she was not weak .. she just needed to let her frustrations out sometimes ...
whether it was through sex or art .. or other things , she needed to learn to relax and enojy herself . she needed time to be her .. and still her heart longed for that special someone .. to share things with .. to cuddle with , to go on adventures with. Next year things would be different less complicated she promsied her herself that one by one things would get crossed of the list .. she once again would have her freedom , her own name .. her own place ... and maybe a roomate to share .. but until then , day by day . would have to be a journey taken one day at a time .. Kiera looked at her watch , it shone time was flying but her job as a writer allowed her the luxory to dwell on things , time to let thing permeate ...
the ex ... she missed him , he was and good and maybe it wasn't his time , it wasn't thier time ... She got dressed quickly taking her her favourite sundress . i t was time to take a walk on the beach .. bending over she looked for her sandles , sipmle but practical , picked up a brush and brushed her red hair til it shone like glistening sunlight , her skin was so pale , her friends joked that she must glow in the dark ....the funny thing was she did .. her smile genuine .. her green -blue eyes were stunning .. she was tall too 5'10 without heells over 6 feet with them ..
She put the brush down , put on her sandels , pick up her key and simple bag with her keys and locked the door behind her , she felt the wind as soon as she closed the door . she continued walking and walking , the fresh air filled her lungs and filled her with hope .. hope of a brighter day a brighter future .. she followed the boardwalk down , passed the couples , the lover , the oldies .. the bratty children with thier candy ... everyone else looked so colourful ... so happy .. her feet carried her down to the beach .. and as soon as she reached it she took of her sandle and carry them , threw off her sundresss and ran into the cold water ... she saw her friend waiting there ... her feet got feet and then .. she walked back dropped her things with her friend and dived into the water ... and let the water embrace her .. under the water she felt amazing like she this was here where she belonged where her spirit wished to renew and onday to rest . Keira finally came up for air ran back to her friend "hi sweetie sorry i just couldn't wait to feel the water again " Nicole looked at her and smiled they had been closed for such a long time .. she couldnt be angry at her when she knew her so well "its ok .. i knew u would come out eventually and say hello ... hows things Keira ?
Bracing herlself and wondering exactly what to say she looked int o nicoles deep brwon eyes and smiled , " things are getting better day by day .. But next will be better still .. she spoke soflty and sweetly .. Nicole smiled and moved forward to hug her friend so tight ... that she hoped some of her strength would pass to her broken hearted friend ...
"So what happened with that guy Kiera ? nicole's blonde hair swayed in the wind and her gray eyes glistened with concern and curiousity."ooh which one Nikki ? ... Ohh u mean him ... things are over .. but its ok .. im getting over it , im moving on ....
