Now that we are here, fighting for out country, surrounded by my brothers in arms, I feel completely alone without you. Without your loving embrace, your warm kisses, the gentle touch of your hand on mine. I miss the times we stayed up late talking about nothing. Wondering if the war was really going to happen. I miss seeing your beautiful face in the morning. All I have to remind me of you now, is a sand covered picture of us standing on your favorite beach holding hands. You looked so happy in that picture. I miss your smile. When I come home, promise me that I'll see your smiling face again. I love you. Duty calls.
