NGREDIENTS:
* 8 pork chops
* 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or shortening
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon sage
* 4 apples, cored and sliced, (tart)
* 1/4 cup brown sugar
* 2 tablespoons flour
* 1 cup hot water
* 1 tablespoon vinegar
* 1/2 cup raisins
PREPARATION:
Brown pork chops in hot oil; sprinkle with salt and sage. Place in baking dish and top with apple rings. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Add flour to fat in skillet and blend well. Add water and vinegar.Cook until thick. Add raisins and pour over chops. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
Serves 8.
