People are all the same in a different sort of way
and that's good because it would be really boring if we were all the same every day
We should embrace what makes us different and that is the key

Just be proud of who you are and what you can be

Don't tell me that all your problems stem from your family tree

To get through life there's one thing you should do
whatever it is, be what makes you, you
I'm gonna be what makes me, me because that's what will set my soul free

If you're the president, the head of a country, or the head of state
your decisions can't be made with prejudice or hate
If your running a country, you have to love it from sea to shining sea

The leader of a country should put the citizens first
not himself and his friends and the money they thirst
And not use any means to an end that will ruin the economy

For those people that think everything wrong in there life has something to do with me
maybe they should look at how they live their life, maybe there's something they might see
I didn't bind your chains and I didn't set you free

If you come in the middle of the night to take my things, you have no name
and you don't value your life when you come to steal in my domain
The value of your life, to me, is less than my things, so what will be will be

When I was younger, the old folks said our music came straight from the devil's hand
the kids music today, to my generation, well it seems like the devil is in the band
What will they do next, if there's anything worse than rap, what could it be
I don't know, call me crazy, that's just me
As far as religion goes, I’ve said this before,
don't tell me that the way to heaven only goes through your door
don't tell me it's your way or the highway, that's not God's words, those words come from thee

In relationships women are looking for someone to love them and ask them to be their wife
men are looking for a woman that’s half angel and half devil that does all the little things he likes
but while your waiting have some cake and eat it too, have some fun filled with glee

For those that always say no
you only live once, so sometimes you just need to let go
For those of you that are afraid of losing, sometimes you just have to put the ball in the tee

Whatever you like, whatever floats your boat
if you will you will and if you won’t you won’t
Some people may not like it but that’s my philosophy
