In youth we have a heart
Young and strong
Growing inside of us
Everyday beating
Searching
Longing
Loving
We grow big
We stand tall
But the hands of time
Show no mercy
And our leaves fall
Lying dead on the ground
Our branches break
Our roots run dry
Then we hear our last heartbeat
We bid farewell
Everything has to die
Our last words spoken
Whispered into the wind
Blowing through a hollow tree.
