What are you waiting for?

Sunday - NASCAR day and I get the notion to clean up the yard the landlord has promised to do since August. I get up the all the broken glass from two separate windows, good sized branches had to be dragged to the curb, trash from passerbys that have no concern for the environment, and trash from the so called handy man and stuff he left behind here. Landlord made the fatal mistake of giving him money to trim the trees up front. Have not seen him since! And he left an extension cord, water hose, a sander, drowels, etc. I put all of his stuff in a pile in hopes he comes back for them. Had several cars slowed down when I dragged stuff to the dumpster that is on the curb..as I did not have a bra on!! :) Next day, wanted to walk to Walmart to get some cards and started to feel the strain of Sunday on my legs...which is probably why I felt so bad all day. Having the need to throw up all day is not a feeling I like to linger! Been feeling yucky for the last several days and found out that the bread that I had been eating was no good. Had my eyes on and read the bag..had that "Best when purchased by" thing. It was the 19th..ok, I would use it a couple days after but when the bread started smelling like cake, (which is when I noticed the expiration date) I threw it out. Girlfriend of mine lost her mother to cancer so I need to go to the store for a couple of cards. Have been in touch with her and although she hurts for her loss, she is also relieved, which I can understand. Her mother went peacefully with family around her. My friend had this opportunity as I did not with my mother. She died suddenly. I did get to tell her I loved her but not a chance to say good bye. (My mother had called telling me she could not breathe, I told her to call 911, I love her and I am on my way to her! 15 minutes later--she was gone!). February is not a good month for me. Mother - Feb '97, Mother-in-law Feb '06, Friends mom last Sunday. July is not a good month either..Father - '87. Bf has not been keeping anything down, including the marinol that is supposed to help him from throwing up! He is even throwing up foods that his stomach could tolerate before. He cannot even keep his soda down. He thinks it is because of the 30mg and 60mg morphine he takes. His back -- where the cancer is has been hurting him greatly, he cannot sit comfortably. He takes the 30mg IR (Instant relief)every 4 hours. He takes it to try to get some kind of relief. The 60's he is not taking. It has now gotten to the point where I have to lift his glass of water for him to hold, as it is too painful for him to reach for it. I like glass glasses, but had to switch to the big plastic ones for him as they are lighter and less strain on his arm when he tries to lift the cup himself. It is 73 outside and Bf is freezing, even with TWO heaters on in there! To me it is almost 'naked' weather! :) He goes again this week for his chemo in Atlanta. I think it is his next to last in this cycle. If I am awake, I will have to pay attention to where it is as I will probably be driving it on the next trip when his daughter takes him. His daughter is petrified of Atlanta..understandable..but I will be doing the city driving (went through Atlanta several times last summer going back and fourth to here and Va!) and she will do the open road as it is easier for her. I may just drive the whole thing as it has been a while since I have driven. Bf is planning on buying his son's old car and I am all for it except it will be a problem to find someone to work on it. It has problems and no one here will touch the thing as it is the Northstar's first experimental engine and has an aluminum block. It gets hot quick, have to keep water in the car in order to keep the radiator full. Car can go for short drives in town but in hot weather will have to stop to let the engine cool as it overheats to easily. On this car, you press a button and it can tell you the oil pressure, press another button-how much gas you have used. Another button gives you info on transmission..etc. Bf's son said when it was new in 95, it was worth $35,000! I do hope since the car is 12 years old that the insurance will be low! Not to sure if it was an "experimental" car then. Also has a lovely "purrrrrr"!!!! I wonder what the resale would be. I know the cadallacs, and luxury cars have a high $$ resale even the older ones. Have you folks seen the new Quiznos commercial where the woman says 'real woman love more meat'? I laughed so hard my ribs started to hurt!! Wet Dreams everyone!!
