For the past week, things had been kind of hectic, and frustrating for the most part. As it happened last Wednesday, my mother had a blood clot in her leg that had been causing her problems. Well, they got the blood clot dissolved, but decided that she needed to stay in the hospital (while she was ready to go home) a few more days to make sure everything with her coumadin and heperal (?) were at the right levels. Well, on top of that I had to work last Friday (was supposed to be a long weekend but we found out different that Friday as well) which we would be off that Saturday and Sunday. They had moved my mother out of SICU on Friday to a private room which made me feel better at the thought that she was out of ICU, but we had gone up to see her on Sunday and then went back up on Tuesday. This time we were there when the doctor had showed up. He said she could possibly go home on Wednesday depending on the levels of the meds they were giving her.
Went to work on Wednesday and then got home and found out she was back at home after a week. That was some great news.
But then again we were back at the hospital on Thursday to get my friend's kids before she could be seen in the E.R. and that was something. Not sure of actual time I got home from her house after she got home but I did decide not to wake up too early today myself.Will post more later.
