Tight Ends

Other Guys" TEs: Craig Stevens Cal-Berkley 6'3.7" 253 Estimated 40 Time: 4.78 Craig Stevens is not spectacular in any area, however he is tough, dependable, consistant and has no holes in his game. His hands, blocking, route running and toughness are all above average. He could be a 10 year pro. Career Totals 37 games-20 34 465 13.7 4 29 Think Chad Lewis. #2Chris Hopkins, Toledo 6'3.5" Weight: 252 Estimated 40 Time: 4.81 Chris Hopkins has a very nice blend of attributes He's productive (54 receptions, 565 yards, 7 touchdowns in 2006). And he has great character. Hopkins produced against good competition recording 13 receptions and three TDs at Iowa State. The southside native of Chicago has soft hands and is shifty for his size. He was very productive in 2006 with 54 grabs for 565 yards 10.5 ypc 7TDs and a long catch of 42 yards. Think Randy MacMichael. #3 Joey Haynos, Maryland 6'7" Weight: 262 Estimated 40 Time: 4.87 Vernon Davis' super sized replacement at Maryland caught 37 passes for 369 yards and 3 touchdowns last year. He is a solid blocker and still developing as a receiving threat. Vernon Davis' super sized replacement at Maryland caught 37 passes for 369 yards and 3 touchdowns last year. He was a preseason second team All-ACC choice by Athlon and Lindy's. The native of Rockville, Md., has played in 30 career games after walking on in 2003. He was the second-leading receiver on the team in 2006 with 37 receptions for 369 yards, both career highs. Haynos earned the team's most improved offensive player award in 2006. Haynos will be on the Mackey Award Watch List: Haynos was an honorable mention All-ACC selection last season . He will likely contend for all-league honors this . He is a solid blocker and still developing as a receiving threat. Think Leonard Pope.Think Leonard Pope. #4 Adam Bishop, Nevada Height: 6'4.1" Weight: 244 40 Time: 4.76 A hip injury ruined his 2006 season and he was limited to 11 receptions for 129 yards an 11.7 average and 1TD This could be a bounce back year that could make him a hot property. If Adam Bishop can rebound with a solid year stay healthy and runs a fast time he could be a late rising prospect. Think Jeb Putzier. #5 Tom Santi, Virginia Height: 6'4.3" Weight: 251 Estimated 40 Time: 4.79 Santi has NFL size and speed but disappears at times caught seven passes against Pittsburgh and Western Michigan, but only one versus Wyoming, Georgia Tech and Duke. Compiled only 253 yards and one TD in 2006. Though some may compare him to Heath Miller he lacks that elite level of ball skills and route running but his upside is considerable. Think Billy Bajema. Small School Special Kolomona Kapanui 6'3.2" 267 Estimated 40 Time: 4.77 Kapanui has a surprising 40 time for his size. Kolo Kapanui recorded 286 yards in eight games last year, he should improve this year. Think of a faster Brandon Manamaleauna.
