9:00 AM – Our phone system is all done through a program on the computer and somehow the computer picked up a virus. Since our receptionist is gone on vacation I’m playing receptionist for the rest of the week. This is so boring!!! Can’t use the computer, no book, no magazine… just a pen and paper, and my tired brain hyped up on coffee. I feel really weird blogging on paper, and if I actually start writing ‘lol’ I’m gonna hang myself. The worst thing is that besides me, it’s only my boss left to answer phones and he doesn’t know how to answer them manually and transfer calls, so I guess I’ll be stuck here… 9 hours… He seems to think it’s my fault this happened but yesterday I went to lunch, he covered the phones, and when I came back I started getting major pop-ups. My theory is that he was looking at porn while I was gone, lol. Damn, I guess this means I’m gonna have to hang myself lol. Crap, I did it again.
11:08 AM – Now I don’t even have a chair. Bossman is sitting at the reception desk on the phone w/our IT guy. Really really bored…
11:42 – This is getting really old. I’m starting to get irritated. One of our clients, in making a pot of coffee, put a decanter full of water into our coffee maker. There’s only one problem with this… the machine is hooked up to a water line. This unfortunate mishap turned the kitchen into a sea of coffee. The floor, the counter, drawers, shelves… here coffee, there coffee, everywhere coffee coffee. Including my white shirt that I planned on wearing out tonight… grrrr. It would be great to take a smoke break right about now…
shortly thereafter my boss got rid of our plague (it caused major problems, I wouldn’t classify it as an average virus) and I was scared to get online after that… but I did because I’m a risk taker ;)
