What you meant to me,
You were my heart and my soul.
You were a constant thought in my head.
You were all I wanted to know.
What I meant to you.
Love you can never know.
Someone you said you loved.
But you didn’t take the time to show.
All of the promises you made,
All of the lies you told.
The way you treated me,
Has turned my warm heart cold.
I trusted you more than one time.
My heart over ruled my head.
I let my love for you lead.
Now that love is dead.
You said you loved me true
The word "truth", seems to elude you.
One day you will look back.
Just to see you were the one who lacked
The ability to give or receive true love.
You will realize you lost something rare and pure.
