I really haven't been playing guitar (or bass) all that much recently... My shoulder and arm was fucked up for a few weeks, I've been rather depressed without a job, and I just haven't felt very creative... Well, today I picked up the guitar, plugged in the ol' Metal Maniac distortion pedal, and actually started writing new material! I haven't come up with a handful of good riff ideas like this in a long while, actually, so it's quite pleasing to me to finally write some good shit. Yeah, I know, I play bass in my band, but still, I love writing guitar material. As soon as I get my mic cord back from the practice spot, I'll mic up my shitty little practice amp and get some recordings. OK damn I'm in pain! Two of my teeth have holes in them with the nerve exposed. I can feel an extreme amount of pain THROBBING all the way into my brain. The rest of my teeth are screaming, as well. Nothing I do seems to help it and I keep trying to revert the pain elsewhere(more controlled spot), and I inflict the pain. Believe me it is very intense, but it is a thrilling relief compared to constant pain going throughout my teeth and head. So, I am in North Carolina for the night, just got through with some training. Well, when you tend to get bored you start thinking, some rationally or perhaps irrationally thoughts and ideas occur. One such is the whole deal about our past, present, and possible future leaders. It all started when I read this book by Lee Iacocca. Now mind you I am not just talking about political leaders alone. I am talking about leaders everywhere. I am very fortunate that our CEO is one of the coolest guys around. He definitely has all the traits of a great leader. This is a quality you don't see hardly anymore. One question is, what defines a leader? Some say either you are a born leader, you learn to be a leader, or some say that you are a natural leader. Health Update
Hello one and all. Yes you all know that I am still breathing. Many of you know that I went in today to h ave a couple of procedures done. They didn't find what they were hoping to find. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing just yet. On Tuesday I have to go back and have a YET ANOTHER test done. Hopefully this will give a clearer picture of what we are working with. They took biopsies today and the pathology won't be back on those until the middle of next week sometime. So far now this is all I know. And now you are up dated.

Update - Good News!
My dad is fine. He ended up with a quadruple bypass on his heart. He is doing very well. I won't be on a lot over the weekend as my daughter is home for a visit. I'll also be going back and forth to the hospital the next 4 days or so. I'll try to check in now and then.

I'm Alive
LOL...barely! Anyways they've changed my schedule yet again and i'm now doing 2am to 10am. My body is just never going to adjust, but i'm surviving. I've put the request in to go to swings. I've been here on fubar for awhile now, and I am totally lost. It seems like a great way to meet people, but I haven't actually done that. A Busy Week Ahead.
This week will be busy for me. First, I will be doing 5 hours of overtime at work. Second, I have to pay my rent and small bills on Friday after working a 45 hour/week. Lastly, my wife and I celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary on Saturday. I hope to take her out for lunch or dinner that day. So I will need this weekend to rest up for things ahead.

I just found out that my cousin goes for his parole hearing this next Tues. He's been before and not recieved a parole date. They gave him 5 to life and he's already been in for 7 years. His caseworker has stated that she believes that at this hearing he will recieve his date. My family and I have waited for so long for this not to mention his son will finally be able to know when his daddy is coming home. Today Sucks
I am so glad that the 875th is on their way back to Arkansas. This is an exciting time for everyone around here. But as exciting as it is for everyone, it also brings back painful memories of us losing one of our own. I've said it a million times, May 26th is a day I will not soon forget, and seeing all the welcome home posters around town (and Jonesboro) is just another reminder that Erich will not be on that bus tomorrow! I hate it for JT and Terah more than they know. I hate that Erich and JT won't be on the bus, I hate that they have to go through this pain again. I just got home from taking my sister to work...on my way this is what I saw... I was heading up the road and got to the stop light. Was there any note in that bulletin which has now vanished whether we would be responsible for resetting our album permissions ourselves?
