What A Weekend.....
This is a lil bit long but its what us military service member go through in the daily military world. Friday Sept 19, 2008 I forgot to turn in a key for a (Conex) after it was locked up. I wasn't the person that got the keys from a key box nor I was the person that locked the Conex. But while I was on a smoke break out of the work area a co-worker gave me the keys to hold it for a second, I had totally forgot that I had put the keys into my right cargo pocket(the pocket that i never use). The Countdown Begins
I have a carton of Marlboro Light 100 cigarettes on the kitchen counter. The plan - such as it is - is to finish that carton and then go cold turkey. Perhaps about a week to finish them up. I swear every time I've tried to do something this weekend something has broke or just won't fucking work. First the fuse blows out in the laundry room, took me a day and a half to figure out which one it is because the jackass landlord doesn't know how to label shit and is too fucking cheap or lazy or both to update the damn thing to breakers. Now, when I have a load of laundry to dry and one already in the washer soaking ass wet, the dryer decides its going to take the fucking day off. Yes it has power, or at least enough to shock the fuck out of me. I can't find my hammer because my kids don't know how to put shit back where they got it from, this could be a blessing in disguise today though. The sink in the kitchen is leaking even more than normal and yes I've told the fucking landlord, but refer to earlier statement ...lazy and or cheap ass that won't fix it either. A couple of people have brought SSI/Social Security up to me should he die. Yes, I am aware [sorta] of how this works. Even if he gets really sick, he could end up on disablity and they could get the money that way. One of my daughter's very best friends is living that reality because her father can't work anymore. The only problem is I am trying to get our Att. General to pursue him for the allotted every three year cost of living adjustments that I had not heard of until recently. I know I have to get them to go after the past ~oh god~ 15 years or so...Turns out they don't file for the mother's automatically - you have to actually request it. [Stupid laws] Our eldest turns 18 on Oct 22nd and the baby will be 17 in March. I tried to get this taken care of this summer, but they never sent the appointment assignment -- that's right no walk-ins allowed; unlike some offices in Houston [and I have to go to the one I am assigned to]. I have been so busy trying to get business back

Urrggghhh... 3.25pm - I've been up a couple of hours but I feel that the world is too bright and loud right now. Let me empty my head here as best as I can. Nothing too complicated but just to bring you up to speed. Went into town, I had argued with my husband on the way out of the door because of the way I was dressed. Normally he just turns a blind eye but he made some remark about me needing to accept that I was 37 and not 17 or something equally as pathetic. I hit back that I would dress how I wanted and sleep with who I wanted and that he couldn't stop me. So if I wasn't on a mission to begin with (which I was), then I certainly was then!! The clothing that caused such offence by the way is a single piece PVC mini dress that is tight and short and shows off my figure and legs. I wore pantyhose and no knickers and massive, black patent leather high heels. It was all tits, legs and ass to be fair but he should be used to it by now. Male insecurity, sheesh!! By 11pm I was

The boys dad leaves for boot camp this week. He is off is antidepressants and trying to cope which means he is babbling endlesslys about everything, we are not together as a couple but we have known each other pretty much our whole lives and since we share parental responsibilities he tends to once in a while still lean on me for moral support, Bless HIS heart, however I am dealing with two houses that i have to condense into one little one, taking the boys fulltime which is a joy but I know alot of extra time and work which is ok but a lil scary when your used to having dad just around the corner if u need him in a pinch. my job which has been alot busier than usual and this is kinda my first real day off from having to do any work in a couple of weeks, the aftermath of kicking the BF to the curb which has left me so shell shocked I will probably become a hermit with my kids for an indefinite period. Computer Up And Running

The whole world just goes *pop* and snaps into place, and all the bends of the curved mirror of perception smooth out. Updates Of Post Hurricane Ike Life!!!
This will be short. It looks like my fiancee and I will be out of a place to stay and homeless come November 1st. Her mother is moving out because I lost my job due to the hurricane, like I can help that. I have not been able to get help from FEMA or The Red Cross. As a matter of fact, I have not been able to get help from any local, state, or federal agency. We do not know what we are going to do or how we are going to make it now that I do not have a job and her hours have been cut at her job. Her restaurant cut her hours by 12, as if things were not going bad enough. If we end up being homeless I want to let all my friends know that I will miss you and I hope to message you once we can get back into an apartment.

My Daughter Has Gone Home
Well My Daughter is safely back in Honduras. I took her to Houston this morning for her flight back. That was a long stressful trip. The hardest part was saying goodbye. Stephanie leaving still has me pretty much bummed out. But still it was an amazing trip. Even though this is the first time I have seen my daughter in almost 21 years. Even though we have been talking by e-mail, messenger and by phone, everyone knows that isn't the same. but we just clicked. it was like we had been together everyday of her life. I am very blessed to have a bond like this with my daughter. I know many aren't that lucky, and I wish I could have a bond like this with my son. For my daughter it was quite an adventure, comming in ahead of huricane Gustav. So that kept us indoors for a few days watching tv and talking. Got her hooked on a couple of my shows. Sharing music and stuff like that. We did the tourist thing, took her to jefferson, did shopping there, saw a lot of kool museums.

Covenstead Bread Recipe by Gerina Dunwich 3/4 cup water 1/2 cup honey 1/2 cup finely chopped citron 1/2 cup sugar 2 tablespoons anise seeds 2-1/3 cups flour 1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon allspice Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Add honey, citron, sugar, and anise seeds. Stir until the sugar completely dissolves and then remove from heat. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and spices, and fold into the hot honey mixture. Turn the batter into a well-greased 9 X 5 X 3-inch loaf pan and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for one hour. Turn out on a wire rack to cool. (This recipe yields one loaf of bread.) Autumnal Equinox

Hey all :) So in 3 months I will be done with school and have just been informed that a family member has a real estate company in Indiana and he needs a partner. So yesterday my eldest child decides she is going to New Braunsvilles and takes the cell phone with her. She's back in less then an hour and half. Cruisers, Mabon & Peace...
My little island is well protected, yet some still feel above the law. I went for my usual run yesterday morning and on the return trip, my route passes an elementary school. There is usually a cruiser parked close by to ensure traffic obeys the speed limit in the school zone. School already started and was in session and the cruiser was parked in a church parking lot across the street. Unfortunately as I was approaching the drive, a car sped by and the officer pulled out to enforce the speed and clipped me, knocking me down. I was already a bit winded, sweaty and just wanted to get home and rehydrate and get into the shower, but went off on him like a fly on shit (pardon the expression) and was not going to the hospital and waste taxpayer money and time to take care of a little bruising and soreness. Three Weeks
Goodness! Three weeks (give or take) since I last posted a blog on here...time flies! I got really bogged down with all the stuff I needed to do prior to getting the kids back to school then had a surprise two week holiday sprung on me by my husband which was lovely. We spent a couple of weeks at a vineyard in the south of France with our youngest two kids and had a lovely, relaxing time.
