Four Wheelin'
Clyde has been on vacation this week. So, on the 15th of July, Clyde and I went four wheeling with a new friend that Clyde made named Jeremy. Jeremy brought Travis, since his wife is very pregnant. Clyde brought Diane and me. The jeep got to pretend it was a mountain goat again, only this time we were not hanging off the sides of mountains like we usually do. This time we took real "four wheel drive" paths, though not the really rough ones. A New Beginning
After 16 years of marriage (2nd one, was married for two years before this one to a woman who left me for a co-worker), with the last 7 years sleeping in the guest bedroom, alone every night, I have decided that I need to find some happiness in my life before I grow so old that nobody would want me anymore...thus, I'm getting divorced. The hardest part is how my 14 year-old son is taking is, but I think he realizes, too, that I can't give my all to him while I am not happy myself. No bitterness involved - in fact, everything is, and I hope will remain, amicable...I just need a new start and maybe eventually find someone who has the passion and sensuality that I do...being lonely is no fun at all. My Wall
I have put up a wall to keep from being hurt; to keep from having to admit I have feelings of any sort. It's easier you see to say it doesn't affect me. People come and go you see so why shouldn't I be the first to flee. It seems to be the way it goes in one relationship to the next who's gonna give first no one knows. All my life I have been an observer; the one on the outside looking in and this was my choice of course. I have seen many things go bad in relationships of all sorts and while I'm trying to understand why these relationships seem to fly by. Okay...here's my rant. I have been talking to this guy who claims to be a cop, and claims to want a lover, partner, mate. He says that he wants to be the dominant in the relationship. He even goes so far as to post "rules" in his profile. He contacted me. He wanted me to add him. And then, HE threw a fit when I didn't respond to him immediately when he shouted at me. He told me that I should remove him if I wasn't going to "follow the rules". I told him that I figured he wanted me to be at his beck and call, and was I correct in assuming that? He never responded back to me, so I thought, enough of this bulls**t. I deleted him. Apparently, that wasn't enough. He shouts at me, and thanks me for remembering him, and then tells me that I had better block him. ??????? I asked him why. He said that if I didn't, then he would block me. WTF??? He proceeded to tell me that since I didn't listen, He would block me, because he only prefers "real" people who follow the rules.

Some things in life have a greater impact on you then others, and then there are moments in your life that you can say changed your life forever. My Story
Hello My name is Ben Varela. I have had a heart problem since 1998. I was doing a regular physical for my schools basketball team then I was given the news that I wouldn't be able to pass due to the problem. I needed a heart pacemaker inserted. All was fine until 2000 in which I needed Open-Heart Surgery. Well I was supposed to have another surgery last summer in July but by the grace of God and I believe my dad, I felt them pull my heart out of my body and say that you don't need the surgery son, you will be cured. Sure enough, it happened one week before the surgery that it happened and one week later up at Stanford Medical they ran tests to see how I am doing and sure enough they said that I didn't need the surgery. It has been one year since the miracle and all my tests run the same and they say it looks like I don't need the pacemaker any more. So I thank the Lord above for keeping me here everyday here on Earth. So I hope you find it in you heart to tell the people you know about

Firefighting
I've never been a hero.... I'm just another firefighter on the job, whenever you see me I'm climbing ladders, humpin hose or on the Nozzle. Today was an awful hot day in the south and of course humid, it did cool off some later in the day with some clouds, but little relief with the air conditioner at home not working. It isn't expected to be fixed till Tuesday, so I will actually be glad to be at work during the heat of the day tomorrow. As a few of you know starting this week i will begin working two jobs and will have a lot less time on here to keep up, I will try to post things happening in my life here in this blog to keep you all up to date. I did get to spend a few minutes with a CT friend today, we went for a walk and down to the lake for a bit and got to spend some time talking, it's nice to have some friends local. I have been back from my trip to Green Corn... Things That Go Bump In The Night...

Just got back from work. Another day, another way to find how people can be so stupid. Had a great time going to the store and watching how retarded people can be. A man asked the cashier, "Why cant you go back to the back and make one in my color? This is at OfficeMax. He was talking about a chair. Another man asked why the the smaller computers work without being plugged into the wall? A woman asked the same thing about a cell phone (little old lady) how can it work with out being plugged in? Saturday With My Son
Well the day started out kinda crappy because my alarm didn't go off but luckily my internal alarm woke me in time so I wasn't to late (only 30 minutes). I hate to be late because I don't get that much time as it is. We had a fun day though as we always do. Still wish my daughter would come with us some but I guess my son needs me more than she does. We went to Ci Ci's for lunch. He loves Ci Ci's. It's pretty good and it's also cheap which is good for me since my ex gets most of my money. After that we went to see Spider Man 3 because he wanted to see it and I have to say it was pretty good. He asked me last week if we would go and he was so excited. He has been wanting to see it since it came out. My Half Assed Dir En Grey Concert Review + Onlspace!
Hola! This summer i got the chance to see some awesome live acts. Ben Harper, Ziggy Marley, Robert Randolph. . .but the one i was MOST hyped about was the Deftones, Dir en grey, and Fall of Troy show. It started off with Fall of Troy as the opening act. I wasnt too familiar with them, but the lead guitarist/singer did some decent shreading and sweaks. All there songs were pretty forgettable though and i think the crowed was was getting antsy waiting for the main acts. after a long wait, Diru's crew came out and started to set up. A huge black and grey DIR EN GREY banner was revealed from the ceiling. Soon after that they started playing GDS and Shinya walked out and slipped behind his drum set. . . Damn he looked hella frail. Mowing The Yard
It never ceases to amaze me that I work so hard to make the grass green and lush.....for what? Just to mow it again! It's crazy! Actions Speak Louder Than Words
Not many people can fully grasp the meaning behind that phrase. As simplistic as it is. If you have interest in someone or even claim to be in love with someone, it should show. I do not merely mean from time to time. No, it should be obvious in everything you do. Many people like to throw the "L-word" out, but there actions do not back up their claims. They may not even use the word love, but express great feelings of emotion and attraction instead. Despite what it may be, it is still emotions. Emotions are fine when they are your own. Ahhhhh!
Ahhhhhh...Much better. That nap kicked my bad mood away. I feel a hell of a lot better than I did an hour or so ago when I posted my last blog entry. Also - If you guys are looking for a really good easy marinade for some of your meat - try out the Jack Daniels marinades. I just tried my first one today on the steaks I cooked outside - and oh my gravy! First off when I was outside cooking it, it smelled Sooooooo good. I actually had people from the park thats across the street from me stop by my house and asked what smelled so good. Then the taste....Holy Crap. It tasted Soooooooooooooo good. I would definitely recommend it. All you have to do is put in up to 3 pounds of meat in the actual bag the marinade comes in...and refrierate(sp?) it for at least a half hour before you are ready to cook it. The one I bought and used today was the Terriyaki. Definitely look for it in your groccery stores. I highly recommend it! BrattyBytch OUT!

When I started my 3rd Step in my apt hunting everywhere else, then put it on hold (for personal reasons), I began to go ahead & do my 4th Step in my apt hunting, near where I live; I then thought, `Oh I do hope I can find something in my price range', so here's what I found, on my search: On July 10th, I drove to Country Club Dr, then another road, that was in front of some apt buildings; as I looked to see if I could find the Manager's Office, I asked a couple where the Manager's office was. When they told me, I parked my car to try & find it; I then looked at the time on my cell phone & noticed that it was time to head off for work. I then drove slowly to see if I could see any manager's Office at any other complex & couldn't find any; plus, they were hidden & couldn't gain access, unless I was already living there. Ok, so I was outside all day yesterday, and my arms are soooo very burned now, they hurt to move.... I remember as a kid, I could play outside for hours, and I would just get tanner and tanner, and never have to worry about it... As a teenager, I would burn, but in a few days time it would turn into tan, and it never really hurt but the first day...
