Chillin' In Vegas!

Our Little Lyndsay
A new friend asked how my Daughter passed and was understandably wondering if it's OK to ask: Yes, it's OK. Our little Lyndsay was diagnosed with a brain tumor prior to her 3rd birthday. It was a Primitive neurological endocrine tumor, sub-class modulo blastoma. We had emergency brain surgery 2 days following diagnosis and then radiation for 5 days, then 3 types of chemo run simultaneously for 8 months. She was doing really well for a few month and relapsed on Christmas day, '05. We found that she has 'multi chemo resistant tumor cells that had grown tumors in the original spot (brain stem) and many more tumors. She passed on Mother's day '06, shortly before her 5th birthday. I don't know how the fuck it is that a child gets cancer. Our surviving daughter, Susan, is in her second year of university and is the light of our lives. I don't know if I feel as strongly as this person does, but I love the way he writes and I like what he has to say about the topic at hand. You know. I am all about independence and freedom as most of you know. This was a pretty good holiday for me. We just had a baby, it was my last paid holiday for work and we were with good people. But thinking further about what we are celebrating is a bit disturbing to me. We light small explosions to celebrate a war that happened to free mankind of a brutal and unfair government. While at the same time we have a government that is oppressive and obtrusive. Our phone lines are tapped without due process. Children are taken away from parents who deserve to keep them and left with parents who shouldn't have a pet. Every day the abuse of power by our corrupt and illegitimate system grows. There are camps being made to house people when they do just kick it into gear and set up a quarantine for an outbreak of a disease or plague that they created.

Update On Angiogram
Well it is July 5th and I don't know anything. I had the Angiogram on Monday. I had a severe reaction to the contrast dye. I think they had to finish early due to that reason. The doctors didn't speak with my husband only to tell him about the allergic reaction to the dye. I guess I have to call to see if the aneurysm is leaking too much or not at all or what. I hope they don't have to do another Angiogram I barely made it through this one. I am doing okay however, I am sore from either the angio or the allergic reaction I haven't figured it out yet. My head feels like it is going to burst sometimes (I have a headache) I am not allowed to do much of anything yet because they didn't plug the entry site (camera's go thru to the artery in groin) and theres a chance I could reopen it so believe me I will be taking it easy LOL. Glad To Be Back...
This week has been crazy.. As you know my Dad had surgery on Monday.. Everything went ok, but once the doctor got in there my dads knee cap had shifted so they had to move it back. He is doing ok just in alot of pain. I have been really busy this week doing this and that. I am glad to be back and to the ones who left me comments while I was gone.... Thank you... Oh yeah another update on my cousin he is now out of the hospital and doing ok. He had a short term memory loss but is doing better now. I'm just thankful that he is still alive...

Death
Well, I got the phone call at 1:15 this morning. The phone call that I knew was coming but that did not make it any easier to accept. My mom called me to tell me that my grandmother had just died. She was diagnosed with final stage leukemia of the spine about 2 months ago. The doctors said that she had 2 weeks to 2 months left and she made it to the 2 month mark. My mom had to put her in a nursing facility that could be sure to take care of all of the medical needs that would arise so she brought her down to florida and put her in one not to far from her house. My mother went and visited her daily and took care of everything that was needed. We were told Sunday night that she had 1 to 2 weeks left. I drove over to my mothers yesterday so that I could go and see my grandmother for one last time. She had a fever and was not waking up from the pain meds but they said we probably had a few days left. We were there til about 1:30. I left my mothers house to come home at 4 and at 5:15

Was Zappa a friend of Brian? For me it seems impossible to understand. Yet there are some clues that points in that direction. He met Zappa and Dennis Hopper at Monterey, and the Captain makes it even more likely. More strange is that The Mothers Of Invention broke up the month Brian died. Otherwise known as complex issues, I have realized in the past few weeks that the end was coming for where my friend Angel worked. I knew in my heart the daycare where she was working was bound to close, and the inevitable has happened. Why we are not sure. But one thing is definitely for certain. I've recently started playing the RPG video game Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, in which you are basically free to do whatever you want in the game-world, to include completely ignoring the story & doing your own thing. I'm terribly curious, so my natural reaction to a sandbox as such is to see what extremes I can push the game to... often with unexpected, humorous results. As a kind of social experiment, I'll be recording my progress for you to laugh, cry and raise your eyebrow at. Golf Attire
What is the proper golf attire? I will start out by saying what NOT to wear. Do not wear blue jeans. Do not wear sleeveless shirts, unless you’re a woman. Women are allowed to wear sleeveless shirts. Collarless shirts are allowed in some courses, but to be on the safe side, especially if you plan to play in a private and exclusive golf course, wear a shirt with a collar. And if possible, tuck your shirt in. The starter may not allow you to tee off if you don’t wear the proper golf attire. You will be forced to buy a golf shirt or a pair of golf pants at the pro shop, and we all know that pro shops almost always OVERPRICE their items! Women are always concerned with fashion. The style of clothing in golf often changes for women. Therefore, they are not very strict with women when it comes to golf attire. But, ladies, please, wear decent and proper golf clothing. I’ve been playing golf for ages. Over the years, I have learned so many lessons and have given a lot of importance to things like—Discipline, Patience, Punctuality, and most of all—Honesty. Never cheat in golf. If you cheat and get caught, you will be branded as a cheater for the rest of your golfing life. Even though there are a lot of courses in the United States, the golf community becomes small when a rumor is spread around. If you get caught cheating in a tournament in San Francisco, for example, give it a few days, people in LA and the rest of the country will know about it. Is it really worth it?
