Perfect Sky
I went back home tonight to watch the fireworks in the town I went to high school. Sure it was just a 16 mile drive, but it was a much farther journey for me. I have not watched fireworks at home on The Shortline for 20 years. Since then I have traveled all over North America and have seen some of the finest displays in the country. It's funny, I remember the towns, places like NY and Disneyworld that are known for great displays, but they really are not memorable by comparison. The past year I have made an effort to get back in touch with my friends and family that inhabit the tiny communities that I felt I had out grown, and yes I say that with an amount of shame and quiver in my voice. Mom
Well as far as the cancer doctor can see so far the cancer is not back. Her mental state is still a little off but is doing better. So hopefully she'll be home by the weekend. On another note my daughter and her friend left the hospital with my uncle, my uncle is diabetic and been having trouble with it. On the way home his sugar dropped and he became disoriented and didn't know what he was doing. He started yelling at my daughter and swerving all over the road. She told him to pull over so they could get out and he almost hit the guard rail my daughter had to pull the steering wheel or they would have hit. I left the hospital about 45 minutes after them and happen to come upon them stopped by the police. At one point his blood sugar wouldn't even register. My daughter and her friend had gotten out of the truck and called 911. They both were so scared they didn't know what to think. What a night and I thought I was gonna have a quiet evening at home.

Putting My Money Where My Mouth Is.
You know the saying, out of the mouths of babes..." Well, kind of had one of those moment today. Back when Tamara and I were married (1996), I weight about 185-195 lbs. A few years later, Suz and the kids moved in with us. At that time (around 1998), my weight was still around the 195 mark. It is July 3rd, 2007. My weight sits at around 330 lbs. I am so frustrated, my son is almost 4, I haven't been on a date in God knows how long! I know that I should be able to date and not feel bad about it, but I just can't bring myself to do it. This is especially for my friends. Back in November I was shot during a confrontation with a pimp. Case went to court the gentleman in question was convicted of assault, attempted murder, brandishing a weapon and a few weapons charges since it wasn't bought through the proper channels. So about two weeks ago I lost my house key. . .(see blog Breaking and Entering for details) Anyway I lost my key looked every where I could think went through my jeans like four times at least. It's been a bit since I've really been able to come on here long enough to do anything. An update on what's been going on. I am now running a security company, working concerts, large parties, and just about anything else I can get. I have gotten back into playing drums, and have been playing with a local band that does covers of some of my all time favorites like Slayer, Anthrax, and the like. Life has been going pretty well, racing has been much to be desired...I crashed my primary bike, a 2007 GSXR 1000 so I'm running a 2003 1000 and my 06 600. Still having fun though. Life has turned around and I'm very happy to be where I am right now. Today i went to meet a friend of mine who runs a Showroom of Bikes. There i saw the 2007 Model Of SUZUKI HAYABUSA. It was extremely kool and dashing. i have start talking with him about the cars and the bikes and he told me that currently there are 1. HAYABUSAS = 10 2. TOYOTA SUPRA = 5 3. NISSAN SKYLINE = 1 4. NISSAN 350Z = 19 5. FERRARI = 2 6. MAZDA RX-8 = 15-20 7. MITSUBISHI EVOLUTION = 4 and the one news which really surprised me today that a LAMBORGHINI GALLADO HAS BEEN SPOTTED IN THE TOWN. but it is still under confirmation that either it is rumor or reality. but over all it is really a quite impressive news which i heard so far.

The Rose Within
A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully and before it blossomed, he examined it. He saw the bud that would soon blossom, but noticed thorns upon the stem and he thought, "How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns? Saddened by this thought, he neglected to water the rose, and just before it was ready to bloom... it died. So it is with many people. Within every soul there is a rose. The God-like qualities planted in us at birth, grow amid the thorns of our faults. Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns, the defects. We despair, thinking that nothing good can possibly come from us. We neglect to water the good within us, and eventually it dies. We never realize our potential. Some people do not see the rose within themselves; someone else must show it to them. One of the greatest gifts a person can possess is to be able to reach past the thorns of another, and find the rose within them.

Life Still Has A Meaning
If there is a future there is time for mending- Time to see your troubles coming to an ending. Life is never hopeless however great your sorrow- If you're looking forward to a new tomorrow. If there is time for wishing then there is time for hoping- When through doubt and darkness you are blindly groping. Though the heart be heavy and hurt you may be feeling- If there is time for praying there is time for healing. So if through your window there is a new day breaking- Thank God for the promise, though mind and soul be aching, If with harvest over there is grain enough for gleaning- There is a new tomorrow and life still has meaning.

People Always.....
People always come into your life for a reason, a season and a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, or to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually. They may seem like a godsend to you, and they are. They are there for a reason,you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die, Sometimes they just walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilleed; their work is done. Baby Bok Choy With Sherry And Prosciutto
I Tbsp vegetable oil 4 medium cloves garlic, thinly sliced 6 heads baby bok choy, cut in half lengthwise 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt, more as needed 1/4 cup dry sherry 1/2 cup chicken broth 1 Tbsp soy sauce (use wheat-free soy sauce for wheat-free version of recipe) 1/4 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with a tablespoon of cold water 1/3 to 1/2 cup of thinly sliced prosciutto cut into 1/4-inch strips, or finely chopped 1 Put the oil and garlic into a large, heavy-based sauté pan with a lid. Heat on medium high heat and cook, stirring frequently until the garlic begins to sizzle, about 1 minute. 2 Add the bok choy halves. Use tongs to turn the pieces in the oil. Season with salt. When the bok choy leaves begin to wilt, add the sherry, turning the pieces again. Add the chicken broth, soy sauce, and sugar. Reduce the heat to medium. Double Standereds In Modern Society
Why am I considered a racist, when I show the exact same enthusiasm and pride for my race as a black Mexican or Jew? Why am I automatically labeled when I shave my head and strap on my boots? We are living in a time of double standards, a time of new bogus hate crime legislations which are one sided laws enacted to further protect the chosen minority, while the white majority foots the bill. I know I don’t stand alone in my views on immigration, I know that many people out there are just as fed up with the Government opening the borders to all non white, non English speaking people from the third world, but unlike the people who are unwilling to do something about it I am more than willing to place myself in harms way in order to secure an existence for my people. Baked Brie
1 tube of refrigerated Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls 1 round or wedge of Brie cheese Raspberry Jam, or other sweet jam Brown sugar 1/4 cup of maple syrup Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. On a stick-free cookie sheet, lay out the crescent rolls flat; put brie round or wedge on top. Spread jam on brie, fold crescent rolls over top. Drizzle maple syrup over rolls and place a handful of brown sugar on top. Bake at 350º for 25 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with crackers and apple slices.
