There is not a six or eight month stretch of time where I do not receive a Lieberman CD. One has to give eir kudos for sticking around after so many negative words. This CD looks to be different than past Lieberman albums in that there are only two covers on the disc, where Lieberman works on a Mark Knopfler (“Tunnel of Love”) and a Jesus and Mary Chain (“April Skies”) song. While the disc is ostensibly about Lieberman’s depression, one cannot hear any sort of sadness in the track called “Falling Into Sadness”. What results is another quick, punk-infused song that draws off of the tempo of the Batman track with screamed-out vocals and flittering flute throughout. Ingredients * 2 cloves garlic * 1/4 cup white vinegar * 2 tablespoons canola oil * 2 teaspoons ground ancho chile pepper * 1 teaspoon dried oregano * 1 teaspoon ground cumin * 1/4 teaspoon salt * 1-1 1 pounds flank steak Cooking Instructions 1. Whisk garlic, vinegar, oil, ground chile, oregano, cumin and salt in a small bowl. Place steak in a shallow baking dish and pour marinade over it, turning to coat both sides. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, turning once, or overnight. 2. Preheat grill to high heat. Oil the grill rack (see Tip). Grill the steak until desired doneness, 5 to 6 minutes per side for medium. Transfer to a plate, cover with foil and let rest for 5 minutes. Slice the steak very thinly across the grain. Place rack in upper third of oven; preheat the broiler. Coat a broiler pan and rack with cooking spray. 2. Gently mix beef, bell pepper, scallions, breadcrumbs, 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce and ginger in a medium bowl until just combined. Ingredients * 2 each English (hothouse) cucumbers * 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice * 2 1/2 cups spring or filtered water * 1 Simple Syrup or agave syrup Cooking Instructions Finely grate cucumbers into a fine-mesh sieve set over a bowl. Ingredients * 4 ears Sweet Corn in their husks * 6 tablespoons Butter (3/4 stick), at room temperature * 2 tablespoons Fresh Flat-Leaf Parsley, minced * 1 clove Garlic, minced * Coarse Salt and Black Pepper Cooking Instructions You will also need: Butcher’s string Set up the grill for direct grilling and preheat to high. Fashion the husk of each ear of corn into a handle, tying back the husks with butchers string, and remove the corn silk. Place the butter, parsley, and garlic in a mixing bowl and whisk or beat until smooth and creamy. When ready to cook, lightly brush each ear of corn with a little of the garlic-parsley butter and arrange on the hot grate, positioning the ears in such a way that the husks are away from the fire. Grill the corn until the kernels are handsomely browned all over, 8 to 12 minutes in all, turning as needed, brushing with the remaining butter, and seasoning generously with salt and pepper. Ingredients * 3 pounds unpeeled red potatoes * 4 eggs * 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise * 2 tablespoons milk * 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar * 1/2 cup sliced green onions * 1/2 teaspoon salt * 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper * 1 cup sliced celery Cooking Instructions Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add red potatoes, and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes. Drain, cool and chop into 1 inch cubes. Place in a medium bowl. Place eggs in a medium saucepan, and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil, and immediately remove from heat. Cover, and let eggs stand in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from hot water, cool, peel and dice. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, milk, distilled white vinegar, green onions, salt and pepper. Pour the mixture over the potatoes, and mix together with the eggs and celery. Cover, and chill in the refrigerator approximately 2 hours before serving.

Ingredients * 1 (20 ounce) package chocolate sandwich cookies * 1/2 cup butter * 1 (16 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed * 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese * 1 cup confectioners' sugar * 2 cups milk * 1 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix Cooking Instructions Crush cookies into bite size pieces. Reserve 1 cup for top. Melt butter and mix with rest of cookies. Press into 9x13 pan. Put in freezer for 5 minutes. Blend 1/2 of the whipped topping, all of the cream cheese and confectioners' sugar. Spread over crust and place cake back in freezer. Prepare instant pudding with the milk according to package directions then spread over top of cake. Spread the remaining whipped topping on top of the pudding then sprinkle with the remaining cookies. Keep cake refrigerated.

Ingredients * 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour * 1/4 teaspoon salt * 3/4 teaspoon baking soda * 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar * 1 quart oil for frying * 2 tablespoons white sugar * 1 egg * 1 cup milk * 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting Cooking Instructions In a mixing bowl, beat together egg and milk. Beat in flour, salt, baking soda, cream of tartar, and white sugar until smooth. Heat about 1 inch cooking oil in frying pan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Pour 1/2 cup batter through funnel into oil with a circular motion to form a spiral. Fry until lightly brown; turn over to brown the other side. Cook to golden brown, and remove to drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar while still warm.

Ingredients * 3 cups chopped cooked chicken breast * 5 slices bacon * 2 stalks celery, chopped * 1 cup chopped fresh tomato * 3/4 cup mayonnaise * 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley * 2 tablespoons chopped green onion * 1 teaspoon lemon juice * 1 dash Worcestershire sauce * salt and pepper to taste * 12 leaves romaine lettuce * 1 avocado - peeled, seeded and sliced Cooking Instructions Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside to cool. Prepare the dressing by mixing together the mayonnaise, parsley, green onions, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. In a medium bowl, stir together the chicken breast, tomatoes and bacon. Pour dressing over chicken mixture and toss well to coat. Refrigerate until chilled; serve over lettuce leaves and garnish with avocado slices.

Apparently I have "electrical imps" running about because not only did I wake up to find my comp clicking away one morning last week in the eternal loop from hell, but Eugene's computer also gave up the ghost. He was setting it up even though he had no access to the internet at the location he is staying but wanted to work on some of his thesis and document his work in the field. Looks like the C: drive has a problem with the windows/system32 file and needs to be re-installed while I am attempting to recover his data and pics. I on the other hand - am fracked!!!! Just a little tid bit of info as to why we have not been around. It seems my mother has had a heart attack while taken her blind dog out to go to potty. On Sunday night, my dad informed me that we will be moving by the end of the year. The people who own where we live now have decided to let the residents buy the places they live in. WOW! I just found out that My Jacksonville Jaguars Released Byron Leftwhich. David Garrard has been out performing him and Del Rio says felt that Leftwhich was lying to him about his injuries. That is just dumb. OF COURSE he was lying about how bad they were. That was evident by his play after returning last season. Why would he say, no coach I think I need to sit on the bench and lose my starting position to the guy who has been doing a wonderful job while I'm out. I began my daily run as usual. It was warmer today, perfect for being outside. I headed out to the park to pick up the nature trail that winds through the woods in the center of the park. My First Day On The New Job
Ok, so I started my new job yesterday. They're a bit old school on parts of it, but no problem...well...except when I go to hand something out the window and the window doesn't open by itself like I'm used to so I kind of smash into it a bit..but ok. The people there are really nice so I don't mind going to work. In general they all seem to have a pretty good sense of humor...that's always a plus cause I'm a smart ass so we get along just fine. Confront Them?!
Okay, after about the thousandth time of reading/hearing about situations where somebody wanted to "confront" somebody else about something (you all know what I'm talking about, "friend is lying" or "sister is cheating" that sort of thing) I started to realize something. Most of the people saying things like "I should confront them" or "I want to confront them" are the same people who complain about "drama." You have too much "drama" in your life? It's That Time Of The Year Again

NGREDIENTS: * 4 thick center cut pork chops * ground marjoram * dried leaf thyme * salt and pepper, to taste * 1/2 cup uncooked rice * 1 (10.5 ounces) can condensed beef broth, undiluted * 1/2 bell pepper, sliced * 1/2 tomato, sliced * 1/2 medium onion, sliced PREPARATION: Sprinkle pork chops with marjoram, thyme, and salt and pepper to taste. Our Apartment!
So Dennis and I finally got our own place! It's really nice. Of course there are a few minor things that need to be fixed but hey it's an apartment that's to be expected!
