It is an oldie, but a goodie. The Showerhead; or, How Masturbation Sometimes Ruins Things. It is one of my favorite stories, and one of the first to make me think that travel writing might be a viable career option for me. I was just wondering that it seems like when another country has a disaster the US government is there the next day. Why then when there is a disaster here it takes a week? I'm Mad!
Not "crazy" mad...just irritated, annoyed, angry. I'm mad that I drunk a whole bottle of wine at the Super Bowl party I joyfully attended yesterday afternoon. The Raccoon Incident
Last night I was lying in my hotel room, naked. I heard a noise that sounded very much like a raccoon near the foot of my bed. Due to events in my life in the last few years I have taken a long hard look at things. One of the things that I have been pondering is the statement I have heard from more than a few people giving me advice. That statement is "You have got to forget your past and move on...or You have to let go of your past and move on." Here is what I have concluded about those two statements. You basically have three options with those two statements (that many people do not see being different from one another). First, you can forget your past. Second, you can let go of your past. 35 Weeks...
We are getting closer and I am so excited. My appointment went great. My BP was 113/67...I didnt gain any weight the past 2 weeks. They said the baby was head down and I am 1/2cm dilated...which I know aint much but it tells me that I am getting close. Well it's been a long time since I have really put anything in here, but I think that it's time to do just that. Lots have been going on with me and my life. Although, I am torn between a few things. Degenerative Disc Disease
For those of my friends that are in the know and to refresh your memory; I had an accident 4yrs. ago and again last August that pretty much trashed my back. Since that time, I have been in agony, the pain is indescribable. I have seen doctors, orthopaedic surgeons and physical therapists since last August. To bring you all up to date, I have had shots in my back, finished my physical therapy, etc. My blood test results are normal and I'm a very healthy person despite being a broken down old man...lol. As long as I follow certain guidelines, I will be able to push back any surgery by at least 10-15 yrs. So, all in all, I'm doing pretty good so long as I don't over do it. Today has been a pretty good day. Me and mom got up early this morning for me to take her to her appointment at the hospital. We got done there and went to breakfast. Since I wasn't a member here back during Vote '08, I thought I might just share a few thoughts I have about it. During the Republican primary, I was a big suppporter of Fmr. Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-AR). When he dropped out and saw US Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) gain speed, I started supporting now US Sec. of State Hillary Clinton (D-NY) because I would rather support a real Democrat over a RINO (Republican In Name Only). I ended up voting GOP because I really like Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) and hoped McCain would die in office with her as VP. I felt that US Pres. Barack Obama (D-IL) was dumb for not choosing Clinton as his VP. US VP Joe Biden (D-DE) is a gaph machine and has been wrong on every US foreign policy issue since he got elected to the US Senate. I do appreciate the election of the first Biracial American president. I certainly don't support Obama's liberal ideas, but I hope that the GOP will make gains in the US Congress in 2010 to limit his policy decisions.

Super Bowl 2009
In watching Super Bowl XLIII yesterday, I found the game to be much more interesting and exciting to watch then the halftime show and most of the commercials. The Game: Pittsburgh dominated really up until the fourth quarter. Arizona faught back from many penalties and the Steelers' churshing defense. In the end, the Cardinals were unable to prevent further scoring nor score themselves when they needed to. Final score was Pittsburgh-27 Arizona-23. The Halftime Show: Bruce Springstein was ok, but I felt I was watching a cross between Elvis and Tom Jones. The Commercials: The ones I liked best were the movie previews for "GI Joe", "Star Trek" and "Transformers 2". The Pedigree ad with the rhino was the funniest. NBC's Heros versus NFL greats was the best tv show promotion ad. The redo of the old Coke-Mean Joe Green ad with Coke Zero brought back memories. As Much As I Shouldn't Complain...
...it bugs me that it costs more to live where I recently moved to, but it is much nicer here. The drawback is I spend all my time working and now I don't have time to do the things I used to love to do. I grew up around here but it's been so long since I lived here (high school) that I can't find any of my old friends. The ones that I can find are always busy themselves in similar situations. well i thoughthe new year would work out for me, financially im as good as a goose can get lol, but in the love side, i broke up with the one person i thought would understand me and how i am. Beard
this hair of the face, also known as a beard, has become somewhat of an annoyance to me yet im loving it. Im only temporarily letting it grow once again until my 22nd birthday. Which is on February 26, 2009. i believe now it on its 3rd week of growth. It amazes me how fast my beard grows in a matter of days/weeks. if i were to shave it off, it will take 2 days to have the fine scruffiness of hair and it is very noticeable. its annoying but hey i have to live with it for the rest of my life. hello dear friends~ just an update to my idea of a day of awareness for breast cancer. I really want to have a day for US...for those of us who have fought or who are still fighting this horrible beast breast cancer. New Rating System
So, here we are. We were doing just fine with the old rating system, where every 150 or so rates you would get the bouncer, which if you are HUMAN you can work around. But this CRAP about every other pic rate is TOO FAST is a load... A huge LOAD. FU needs to realize that the OLD system was working just fine. If they are worried about bots then they need to find a different way to do it. This rating system SUCKS and needs to go to the garbage IMMEDIATELY!!!

Daytona Beach Snack
What you'll need: Instant Vanilla pudding Milk (per instructions on pudding) Vanilla wafers (cookies) Ziploc bag, freezer or storage Rolling pin Miniature umbrellas (find at party supply store) Small bounce balls (to look like a beach ball) Clear plastic drinking cups How to make it: Follow the directions on the package of instant vanilla pudding. Divide the pudding between the clear plastic drinking cups (box directions will give you number of servings). Place cups in refrigerator. Place vanilla wafers in Ziploc bag. Break the wafers up a bit. Use the rolling pin to roll the wafers into very small pieces. Sprinkle the sand across the top of all the cups. You will want about 1/4" of sand on top of the pudding. Place back in refrigerator until time to serve. At party time, remove cups from refrigerator, add a small bounce ball and an opened miniature umbrella to the cup.

Good English Toffee Original recipe by Carol Jensen 1 cup real butter or 1 cup canned butter (coconut butter doesn 't work) 5 teaspoons water 1 cup sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts, optional Grease a cookie sheet and sprinkle with most of the nuts. (I lined mine with waxed paper sprayed with butter spray for easy clean up and removal) In a 2 quart non-stick aluminum pan (or heavy pan like a pressure cooker) Combine butter, after and sugar. Superbowl
first off, congrats steelers, i have no problem with you winning the superbowl. what i have an issue with is the referee's. i believe there were several calls that were made that were not good calls. calls that if were correct would have stopped a steelers scoring drive and calls that would have continued a cardinals drive. the game outcome, if officiated correctl would have been different, the cardinals would have won. as far as that last play...fumble or incomplete pass....well no matter what you think it was close and being that the superbowl was on the line i cant even fathom how that play was NOT reviewed. what a tragic display of injustice to not review it. why end such a great game on a sour note. i really am not a bitter loser. i just hate the fact that the referee decided the game rather then the on field play..... the cardinals have earned respect and i hope they now get it. was really one of the most exciting superbowls ever, no doubt

I've posted shit before about my workplace. Sometimes there is weird shit happening there. Well, last night, at around 2am, I was chattin with my friend, who is a local cop, in the lobby. We can see the 2nd floor hallways from it, since there is a balcony lookin thing there. And all of a sudden...we see someone's shadow, as if someone walking down the hall, but no one is there. You can see and hear when there is a person walkin there, but there was only a shadow. It moved kinda fast, and disappeared. We just stared at each other, and were like WTF?? I went up to the second floor, but no one was there. After about half an hour, the elevator went on, as if someone entered it upstairs. But it just stayed like that, never moved or came down to the first floor. It was weird, and we were a lil freaked out. After he left, I had troubles sleeping at work, hehe. But I made it :)

Winter '09
Sorry I have been out of touch recently, but I just had one hell of a week. I lost my power on Tuesday around 6:30pm of last week. I just got it back today (Monday) around 1am or so when I heard my heater kick back on. The past week between was lived without any power or heat of any kind. The ice storm had froze all the trees until the weight caused them all to split and fall. Houses, cars, power lines, and everything else you can imagine was crushed by them. It pretty much devastated the whole state of Ky with most of the damage in the western part, where I have been so lucky to live. My whole family lives out in this little county away from the city, which they seem to like until this. They have been told that it will be around a month before they get power and home phones back up. A MONTH!! Questioning Art And Writer's Block.
I just wrote this on someone's profile question about whether writing is an art form and about writer's block. Hey, I am a writer and think about things like this. Writing is putting a thought onto paper which is only noticeable when written and powerful when you share it. Any form of creation is art when it comes from the mind. I don't know what you write. My blocks are usually in fantasy writing so I just keep writing any sort of thing including rubbish, then inspiration comes when I am not thinking about it. (Mine come from visual stimuli.) Therefore the trick is to find the picture/thing that has a touch paper, light it then sit back and create the result. This is a load of rubbish but it is writing and it has given me an idea. Too Fast
This new error is just annoying and beyond frustrating. I don't get even the why it's come into place. Why worry about slowing down how fast people rate? Why not focus more on the people using script programs to cheat? It's just very annoying when you're trying to rate all of a friend's pics. Yes I understand you can just click through the "rating too fast, sorry ignored" error BUT then you have to click back to the pic that was ignored. Then you have to hope and pray you don't get that error AGAIN. There are times I've had to try and rate a pic FOUR times for it to not give me that error. I've sat there and let the entire page load, I've slowly moved the cursor to click and still get the error. I've tried all sorts of things. Clicking the next picture box instead of clicking the pic itself to go to the next pic. Still get the error a lot. There are brief times it will seem to work almost like it used to. I can rate 20-40 pics without that error. And then suddenly

When I arrived to help my oldest daughter in Springdale Ark. 95 % of the town had NO ELECTRIC!!!!! She still doesn't...Governer came in Friday , ( I think ) & declared it a natural disaster. Kids r fine ...warm but Me and my oldest daughter fell violently ill this early AM......I am hopin my fever breaks and other symtoms go away by tomorrow....missed everyone!!!! As some know, I work at a hotel as a night auditor. My friend has recently told me that a hotel next to us is looking for a full time night auditor, which is what I do. That hotel is the same star gradation as ours, but I personally like it more. And the pay is a lil more, plus it gets higher with experience, which I have plenty of. One thing that is holding me down, however, is benefits. Working for Hilton corp, I stay at almost any Hilton chain hotel for 29-49 bux a night, which is pretty sweet. Also, my medical benefits are really nice too. The boss is kissin my ass now ever since I bitched at him for having to make breakfast and being totally unappreciated for it. So now I dont have to make breakfast cause he is afraid that I am going to quit. Rightfull so.. Rewind back: I was a sales coordinator for about 4 months, and all of a sudden our full time NA quit. So, the GM called me up to his office, and said I wasn't doin a good job and he was gonna let me go.

The Past Week
Well have not been on here..... we got a wonderful ice storm that knocked the area totally out. I just got power back today, internet and cable... so life should get better. My shelter is still out of power which really sucks for the 4 legged critters so spending as much time there as possible haying the dogs in so they can burrow under it and build up some body heat. Hoping to get some pictures added that I found amusing around town. Specifically one I had a friend take of the strip club with the "toy" store that had a home made sign out front letting all know they had batteries for sale....... *snicker* So just wanted to let all know what the hell is going on. Apparently we are supposed to have some more of the mess coming back.... 80,000 power poles down so I should count my blessings to have my power back up. hugsss n later folks, have to make another run to check on my shelter animals then off to bed.
